I have 64 8 1/2" log cabin squares that I wanted to lay out in a Barnraising design. My goal is to make a queen sized quilt. The squares are light(ivory) and dark (calico greens).
While I am happy with the way my first log cabin squares turned out; I have no idea how to lay the blocks out to make anything other than 4 (16 square each) larger blocks. I've looked online and on the board; can anybody help? |

This shows a barn raising design that looks like it's 8x8 (64 blocks) 64 8" blocks (I assume you mean 8.5" unfinished, 8" finished) will only make a quilt that is 64" x 64". That isn't big enough for a queen. Are you going to make more blocks? |
