Need Help/Advise Please!
I finished several football championship quilts as Christmas gifts. There are embroidered quilts and I had made a list of the years the Championship title was held. NOW....I need to go back and add another year to the list. I have thought of freehanding the embroidery....or..machine embroidering the year to add on badgemaster but then how would I add it to the quilt? Has anyone ever had to add to a finished quilt or have ANY idea where to start? I am not good with "handwork" and don't trust freehanding but are there other options? Thanks for any help!

Gosh, good luck with this. I am sorry to say I have no advice for this. If you machine embroider it will show backwards on the other side???

Well --- we add labels to the back of finished quilts. I'd suggest machine embroidering a "label" and appliqueing it to the front (hand applique)......

I would do it same. As amandasgranma. If you dislike hand stitching will a friend who enjoys it do it for you ? Sorry to far away or I would help.

Please forgive mistakes I make while I learn to navigate correctly on the Quilting Board. I am SO excited that I found such a awesome resource for quilting!! Thanks to all that responded. I have not yet decided on the method to use to add that year but just want it to look good. Thanks!
