I saw this on the board but can't find. It was outlined using a freemotion black outline of applique pieces...sort of messy outline.
Like a child's scribble sort of. If you know the blog link or what I am talking about I would love to find it again. Thank you for your help. |
Are you thinking of the Diploma quilts by grammatjr?
http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-125355-1.htm I was pretty blown away by her creative technique. |

I haven't seen this on the board, but are you looking for the technique called "Herky Jerky Applique"? It is a free motion technique. The stitching looks like an irregular zig-zag. Some years ago, there were some books about this technique.

Pattern: http://www.virginiaquilter.com/cgi-l...html?E+scstore Book: http://www.softexpressions.com/Merch...Category_Code= This is one of the looks I was looking for but there was another site that used the black thread and free motion but more in line than the loops. Thank you though...it was helpful. I think I saw this on a blog that was linked on the board. |
This is what I was looking for
If you have any further sites...I would appreciate the link. Hope this link post. http://bloominworkshop.wordpress.com...tchy-applique/ |
