Merry Christmas Everyone!

I need help with this block http://www.quilterscache.com/S/Squar...res2Block.html

What size do you cut color number 2. I am not good with math.

Thanks,
JulieM

I would think it would be 6 1/2 in.
Count you sections. you have two small squares in the center and the large square. the others have two rectangles, so #2 would be the width of one rectangle.

On page 2, it says to cut a 6 1/2" square.

I believe the middle blue would be 6.5 cut and 6 finished. Try a sample block first before cutting the rest.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

I'm fairly sure it's 6 1/2" square. Although I checked and double checked, it's definitely not given in the directions. I came up with 6 1/2" by looking at the two squares next to it. They are both 3 1/2": 3 1/2" x 2" = 7", minus the 1/4" seam allowance on each (1/4" x 2 = 1/2") where they are sewn together would make that unit 6 1/2".

Purple's right. Scroll down on Page 2 and it says 6 1/2" square. You guys are good--I couldn't do it just looking at the picture!!

Page 2 has a list of needed supplies at the bottom, below the sample. It tell you the size of each piece. You need a 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" square.

The format for the pattern is the same on all the quilter's cache pattern I have checked. Sizes of fabric cuts comes after the example.

Happy piecing :D

Don't feel silly... Many of us have read, reread, a part of a pattern, and a portion of it does not make sense or seems missing:wink: It is better to ask then guess and end up making wonky blocks :D:D:D
