I want to make a quilt using this princess tiana fabric. I can't think of a way to cut design without losing some of the figures and I don't want to waste any. I was thinking that I would cut the yardage in half, for two 18" x 36"pieces/ panels. I would add the squares on top and bottom, some blocks inbetween panels and on sides. Appreication any feedback and suggestions.

You could wonky cut it and then start adding strips and then square it up. I have done this many times and it looks great.

Quilting Carol what is wonky cut? I've never heard of that? Your fabric is very pretty!
|
You could leave the piece intact, and then border it.

I would have to agree with quilting Carol...fussy cut the Princesses and then do like a log cabin around them to square them up. Please posr pictures of finished project...I would love to see it. The fabric is absolutely gorgeous!

I was going to suggest fussy cut the pricess.

you could diamond cut around the figures. some closer to the figure than others, just depends on where you start the cutting. this would give you the most for the fabric. at least to me.
