After reading how many of you use quilts in your bathrooms I decided to bring my dilemma to you.

I have a good size wall over my tub & have decided to do a wallhanging for it instead of the pix that is there now.

I have a beginning in mind but not sure I'm happy with it. The wallpaper is a very lt. green/silver/ with tinges of lavender. The glass I put in the garden window is amethyst (purple) which could be chgd. if nec.

Any suggestions from anybody? It will be good size so don't want to use a lot of fabric then not like the outcome.
Thanks for any help.

Pat

ps. For concerns about that window & the deck outside, there is a miniblind that can be lowered.

you could actually make a wall hanging with pots of flowers or even your favorite birds, one bathroom here has humming bird wall hangings, one has on with Road runners. the other doesn;t have wall space large enough - or I just haven't got the right thing yet. LOL

I have a McKenna Ryan wall hanging in my bathroom and I really love it, (Sleeps Six).

Check out her site, http://www.pineneedles.com/ to see if you like her patterns.

Elise, I looked for your "Sleeps Six" but didn't see it. I loved the first one on the site with the fish & turtle though. That really got my attention. That's a great idea. I printed that one so I'd remember it.
Thanks so much. Do you have a pix of yours?

I have quilts hanging in my downstairs bathroom. I usually put up a different one with each season. And then throw in a few holidays. You never no what you'll see! LOL

I'm planning on making a koi and dragonfly quilt for my bathroom. It is from the Foundation Pieced Nature Quilts book. Sadly it has gotten pushed down to a lower priority to make way for some other projects. I'll get to it next year though. I'm planning on making quilts for all the rooms in my new house. I'm going to do frogs in one although I'm not sure which room that will be. My boys will both have their own bathroom so I'll let them pick what they want in there. I bet my youngest son will want a Knight theme :D

For your bathroom, you should pick a quilt that you would want to look at whenever you take a bath... something that makes you happy. We could suggest things however you'll be the one looking at it every day.

As far as the wall color I'm sure that it will go with whatever fabric you pick. It sounds neutral enough.

I made that Koi an Dragonfly quilt. Took a lot of time to do it but turned out beautiful.

Here is the wall hanging I have in my bathroom. I know the size is not correct for over your tub, but I am glad you found a pattern you like.

I live in Florida and have manatees in my "public" bathroom. There's no room in the master bath.

Pat, can you send a pix of your manatees? That sounds very interesting.

Elise, your wallhanging is just beaut. Is it all applique? I really appreciate the input I'm getting so far. Thanks so much.
