Hello everybody,
I need to make a quilt for a friend that won't take me forever. I have one main fabric and 2 or 3 fabrics that will match the main fabric. I need suggestions for an easy quick block or pattern that I can use. Im not a complete beginner but not a "superquilter" either.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Judy

how about the disappearing 9 patch?

Try the "Warm Wishes" pattern.

I was going to suggest Warm Wishes as well. It goes together pretty fast and is a simple pattern!

I was also going to suggest Warm Wishes, I often use that when I need a quick quilt. Good Luck!

You could try this one, it went together super fast and is a 4 patch.

You can make a rail fence quilt with three or four colours....

Judy, I can recommend the D9P as mentioned by the others. I am doing a quick quilt (only my second one ever) and it is so fast to do, I would have finished piecing it (crib size) in a couple of hours if my machine hadn't thrown a wobbly. It looks very simple when you are piecing the 9 patch blocks, but once you cut and rotate each block it takes on a whole new identity. (Hence the name I guess! :-o )

I was inspired by the one Izy made:

and I got the instructions from DJ's post, although I started at Step 3 as I was using charm squares.

Have fun!
