Hi does anyone know where I can get a pattern for a baby quilt that says Born in the USA on it. Or any other kind of quilt that says Born in the USA on it. My son in law is a captain in the army and my daughter has some friends that are expecting and would like me to make a quilt for them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can always use whatever pattern you want that is appropriate for an infant and than quilt in the words on the border or a special insert block. :-D

Alex Anderson loves stars and has made too many to count. You may want to look at her site and look at her star patterns.

Sorry, this is in the wrong place.

If you have an Embroidery Machine you could always stitch it on any quilt you make and use the type of Letters you want even hand writing style. I am thinking of getting my self one as I can't even cross stitch very well but I keep trying any way. :-D

There are several members that sell their embroidery work. Maybe one of them could do a red white and blue block for you that says born in the USA? You could place these blocks in amongst the others. The words born in the USA would also be cute quilted all over the quilt, instead of stippling.

At the quilter's cache site, there are several patterns that would lend themselves to this type of quilt - even a set of alphabet patterns, if you are so inclined.

I hope you find something that works for you. :-)

If you have an embroidery machine, I would use that to put either Made in the United States or USA on it. If not have you thought of hand embroidering it. I would also sigin the quilt so that the child will always know where it came. I had some tags made up several years ago that I put on everything that I sew for my granddaughters and great-granddaughter. Good luck with the quile, I know it will be beautiful. gc

You could print up whatever words you like on a computer, enlarge to the size you want, so you have a pattern for the letters, then applique them on to the quilt...either in the borders or in blocks around the center of the quilt.
Would love to see what you decide--so many options.

Hello !
I have the perfect thing if you are still looking. You can make any baby quilt as the others have said and then add in squares. The first one or middle can say:

"I"m proud my daddy is in the United States Army"

it will also have a pic of tank.
Another block can say, Born in the USA, there are a few cute blocks that can be done in Embroidery. I would love to donate the blocks to you to do if you are still looking.
I am a proud AF momma and this would be away to pay it forward for me. Let me know.
Tess
