My daughter's friend is due in December. She has picked out her crib set which includes a quilt. I am confident that she will get everything she wants at her baby shower. Her theme is dinosaurs. So...... I thought I would make her a "tummy time" quilt. Just a simple pattern with pockets (caves) that little stuffed dinos "live" in (tethered by a ribbon). Also some flaps with velcro that secrete stuffed bones (also tethered with a ribbon). O.K. That's about where I am. I need more "stuffed" things. I had thought of dino eggs and maybe a tropical tree or two. But what else comes to mind when you think of dinosaurs? And does anyone know what that crinkly sounding stuff is that you find in baby toys? Would love any ideas y'all have. Thanks

The only others I can think of would be the three toed raptor footprints. You could also do up to 5 dinosaur on a square? One dinosaur with the number one on the other side of the pillow with tether and so on... The only other objects I can think of are the tool a palaeontologist might use? magnifying glass, pointed hammer...You could see if you could find some Flintstone fabric and put a little Barnie or Fred in a pocket?

Footprints! Of course! Thank you, Tartan. I did think of a caveman but didn't want to fabricate one. The Fred or Barney idea sounds promising. Thank you so much.

You can put plastic Walmart bags in to make the crinkling sound. Sounds like an awesome quilt.

make sure those ribbons are SHORT!!! babies can get tangled pretty easily in hanging stuff- ribbons & strings-
and don't add any buttons.
