OK, here's the deal....
My friend Sara & I are going to be making a quilt for our friend's daughter's wedding. The bride likes those 1970's style aqua/turquoise & brown prints. This is what we are considering - a single Irish Chain, using those blues & browns in maybe Moda Marbles. Then, for the alternate blocks, I found some Michael Miller fabrics, in his "dumb dots" line, that are the right colors. One alternate block with polka dots, & the other with a print that will read a little darker. I ordered some of the M.Miller fabrics for samples, but, of course, 2 are backordered! Here's a pic of the one that came today, and a diagram of the quilt, with tan & aqua "standing in" for the print fabrics. What do you think? I have a possible lead on one of the local quilt shops that might have the fabric I want....darn, I'll have to go shopping. What? Call first? Surely you're kidding! I'll add some pics as we go. :D |
