Need suggestions to quilt a Friendship Braid
 

I made a lap size throw using Jenny Doan's tutorial on YouTube. I had enough extra pieces cut and made a small table runner. I'm not sure how to quilt these. I was going to practice on the table runner before tackling the lap throw. Feathers are outside my skill set at this time.

You can always use an overall pattern. Swirls and hearts comes to mind to work with the friendship theme.

MadQuilter, I had been thinking of something curvy. I like your idea of hearts. Thanks. Will post photos once they are quilted.

I'm getting ready to send a friendship braid quilt to my quilter and was needing ideas too! I'm at a loss!
