Does anyone know where I can find free alphabet letters?

I'm making a cat quilt and want to applique the cat's name on the quilt.
I know how to applique, I just can't find the letters.

Thanks a bunch!

What sort? Most free font sites have things suitable, you just have to print out huge - like 72 points and larger.

Were you looking for a particular "feel"?

What about clip art books. I used those a lot when I was teaching. Or even bulletin board letters to keep and use for templates. They have several designs in the teacher supply stores.

Have you tried a search on google images for alphabet coloring pages? that's how I usually find my images.

Lots of free aphabet sites on Cross Stitch websites, too.

Yes, I've been googling but I need them about 2" tall. I need to spell out Macy and freddie.

Just plain block letter would be fine, nothing fancy.

Use your printer to enlarge them, copy each size larger until you get the desired result. Unless you have a scanner, in which case you can print the letters, scan them, then enlarge to the size needed in a word document. cut them out and wala..........your name.

Got it! I converted an embroidery font to jpeg then printed it.

Thank you everyone! :D :D

Most office packages built into your computer have plenty of different fonts, all I do is open a word document, type what ever I need then highlight it and scroll through all the different fonts, enlarging it to whatever size I want, you can either print it off or if you are like me and dont want to waste all your printer ink, just trace it off the screen :D

Thanks Izy, I didn't think of that!
