Hubby loves to sit in my sewing room with me while I sew (says it's the only way he gets to see me ;-) ), so we had purchased a used, very small (not very comfy) rocker for him. It didn't recline...and yep you guessed it...I would still look over and find him snoring away in a very uncomfortable position! We had gotten my rocker recliner at a yard sale several years ago for $5 and it had had it. Sooo, we purchased 2 small rocker recliners last weekend. (You know you are getting old when you purchase his and hers matching chairs!)

Now, the question...has anyone ever seen the little "saddlebag type things that hang over the arm of a chair to hold remotes, books, etc.? I would love to find a pattern (free if possible) for one. DH is remote challenged and loses them at least once an evening! :-)

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Imade my own by measuring my longest remote (we have 4 of them lol) and making the "bag" part then attaching another section filled with rice to weigh it down on the arm of the sofa.. It is still used and has lasted roughly 4 years. That may work if you cant find a pattern

Great thank you both...now to pick the fabric and measure the remote.....now where did I put that remote? lol

Just a thought (and my family will tell you that it is dangerous for me to think ... LoL) but with a little tweak of the pocket width it would hold our quilty items while we're watching TV

a suggestion...make it a little wider and fold up one end to tuck into the side, stitch to hold the folds. When you push it down into the crack between the side and seat, it will stay in place better :D:D:D.
