Can anyone tell me brand, size needle and type & reasonably priced online site for lightweight cotton fabric?
Also brand, type, weight, reasonably priced online site for thread for lightweight cotton fabric for machine piecing?
The same information about needles and thread for FMQ on lightweight cotton. Would you use polyester thread for FMQ
It's all so confusing.
The FMQ uses a lot of thread and to do a design on a full size quilt could be quite a lot of thread to purchase.

I don't know enough or have enough experience to answer your questions. In fact, I have one for you: What is FMQ short for? I'm sure there are lots of quilters here to answer the questions for you.

Connecting Threads
Threadart

Both have cotton and polyester thread on large spools or cones with plenty of yardage. I think it's a matter of choice which one you use. Some prefer cotton, many longarm quilters use polyester. You should probably try both and see which you and your machine like best.

Thank you for your input, I appreciate any and all comments to what works for you.
I'm sewing on a Singer 301 and quilting and FMQ are new to me, trying to gather information as I go along.
I'll visit the Superior site.
Thanks
