I don't either! It makes it look cheezy.
I also don't like the idea that they don't give any information on it. As far as I figure, don't advertise until you can give out the info. I have a very simple Janome, nothing like this, but I like it. If I was looking for a new machine even though I knew that a new improved model was coming out, I wouldn't wait. I would forget all about it by then. |
Do you know what the price is - didn't see it listed.
Rumor has it MSRP for 2300, but i m sure it will sell for 1999 at first. Maybe a janome dealer will leak out a price for us :)

Just found this link..

Wow...combining the best from the best into one machine! I'll have to go see this one sometime. Of course, I'm a Janome lover and already have 3 of their machines. LOL!
I have a 4800, a 6500P and my embroidery machine 350E...love all of them. |
It's pretty! Just when I decided on a new machine for me, this comes up!

I'm not crazy about the red. Other than that it looks like a great machine.
Is the red because of heart disease in women being the number one killer? You know a little like the pink for breast cancer.
I kind of like it. |
I love the red. I decorate my house in black, gray and red so it would look nice. I still think I like the appearance of the 6600 better though. But, I don't know how the two would compare.
For that amount of throat space I can live with the red.
Love Janome, and sure would like to have that space to work with regardless of the color.
As red is my favourite colour, I think this machine looks great. It really reminds me of the Husqvarna 835 which has very similar features and is their top of the line quilting machine. I have been waiting for a domestic machine with more space in the harp area even though I already have a Janome 6500. I'll definately go and have a look when it is out as I like a sit down and sew machine. Mid-arms and large frames just aren't as exciting as I thought they would be, so this machine should fill a need to let me stitch large quilts in my sewing room without completely draining my retirement savings.
I'm a 'lavendar lady' myself - and am very happy with my Janome 6500 - the color just might have had something to do with my buying this machine - it was my first Janome! I stayed with Janome when purchasing my next machine - the 1600P - so happy it was lavendar also! I'm sure red would have made me go to a different brand all together! If I didn't like looking at it, I wouldn't like sewing with it!
its too bad they dont have color change plates. That way you can change them with your mood :)
I got an email today from a LQS for the launch party on May 1st! I'm going to plan to go to see what it looks like!
I don't mind the red, though it does look a bit cheesy. My problem is that, other than the wonderful throat space, I don't see where it will do anything different or better than the 6600 model. I love my 6600!!
