Welcome to the board from Oregon.We have a tread going called Oregon/Washington Fall retreat.It is a great place to get to know quilters near you.Stop by and say HI,we are planning a fall retreat but we also have occasional get together at each others house.There is a thread called beach retreat that there is info posted about a labor day get together.

Welcome from Mesa, Arizona. I always press mine open so there is equal fabric on each side. Actually, it is just a matter of preference....Good Luck.
