Not sure I will get one, but something to think about.

I saw these at Hancock Fabrics a few weeks ago. I think they were $19.99 not on sale. I got a demo of it. Works slick, but takes up more space than I can give it.

Whatever will they think of next!

I can't imagine having or using one of these. I'm sure my method is not as safe. Just like my grandma did, I hold several pins in my lips and "dispense" them from there. I was told as a child not to do it, but I always have. And I've never choked or swallowed one.

I agree with you. It sure takes up a lot of space for what it does. Personally, I don't think it's that hard to pull a pin from a pin cushion. I think I can handle that. I would rather spend $20 on fabric and have a cute pin cushion beside me:-)

I don't see what the advantage is, but I do see some disadvantages. Besides the cost and size, it's noisy! You've got to use batteries, which aren't cheap and aren't good for the environment.

And what the heck do you do with the pins as you sew and remove them? Lay them on that oh-so-convenient paper funnel next to your already crowded workspace until you've got a pile of them and then load them back into the barrel?

Honestly, I am a gadget lover, sewing and in the kitchen. But I just don't see any positives for this thing.

I saw these at Hancocks's in Wichita Falls too, but I wasn't tempted. Too big and too expensive. I don't use pins too often anyway. The sales lady sure was pushing them, though I have decided they are "required" to do that, as they are always pushing something. Doesn't bother me. I can say "No thanks, I don't need that" quite easily. :)

That is seriously the dumbest gadget I've seen in a long time!

I say a pin cushion is a little easier. Now if they could make something like that to shell sunflower seeds or pistatio nuts, I'd buy it.
