I have been wishing for the Olfa swivel rotating cutting mat that sells for about $45... Today I had a 40% off coupon for Hobby Lobby and they had that mat! So I got it for about $26. They also had quilting gloves very inexpensive and I hadn't been able to find any locally. Double score! Can't wait to play with my swivel cutting mat. Do any of you use them?

I love mine, I have one by Fiskars and I love it when I'm making applique circles and/or anything that has tight curves along with my trusty tiny rotary cutter. And the gloves are the greatest. I have rhumatological disease which often affects my hands and if it weren't for the grips on the gloves I would never be able to quilt if I had to maintain the "death grip". I hope you enjoy your new finds! Can't beat a sale... my husband knows I live for the coupons for both Joann's and Hancock Fabrics! Girls gotta shop when there's a sale!

Explosive blessings, abundance and inspiration to you all!

The revolving mats are wonderful for squaring up blocks. I used to run around the table to reach all the sides. Now it's a simple matter to spin the mat around instead of me. It's also good for cutting small pieces or one or two of a kind. It's great for trimming up flying geese or square in a square blocks. Buy the bigger one if you have a choice.

I have two mats, a small one and a large one and love both of them. As far as gloves I use plain cotton gardening gloves with the rubber dots on them. I tried the Fons & Porter gloves and like my gardening gloves better.

I have 2 Olfa rotary mats too, large and small. They are on my top 5 list of "can't live without" tools. I love them and use them a LOT!

JoAnn's having 40-50% off mats and cutting tools too now. I rarely go there, but needed polyfill for my son and some "welcome to sewing" gifts to a gal at work who inherited a Bernina 830 Record and is teaching herself home dec sewing. So I got her a mat, ruler, and cutter set, chacoliner and some Schmetz needles for her Bernie. I also got a set of 4 Omnigrid square rulers for myself for about $17. Score!

She's lucky to have inherited the Bernina 830... that't been my main machine for the past 30 years. What a great friend you are, too!

She came to get me from work when my car broke down on the way in. I'm so impressed that she's teaching herself with YouTube tutorials. A new generation. I'd rather pay for lessons on my new old Bernina 930. But was planning on getting her a cutting set, and the fab sale was there. Perfect timing. And my own Omnigrid collection more than doubled.

I love mine!
