Have you seen the new rulers in all the LQS's that look like winding roads and drunk paths? I was wondering why they are coming out with so many!!!!! We used to use a ruler stick only for quilting, now there is every kind of ruler you can imagine. I want to try one but hope someone has found a good use for one and bought one recently. I wish I could post a picture but don't have one. Maybe you have seen them too. Like waves, and rulers with huge points and triangles, etc. Hope someone has an idea. But then again, if you have one I may have to buy some of them. ROFL

I was looking at some of them. One I liked was $25, plus the patterns were $9.50 each.

If I knew for sure I'd make several quilts, I'd consider it. But I hate to spend that kind of money and not enjoy the process and have the ruler sit there unused forever. You could see if any of your local quilting pals are interested and share the expense.

It's amazing how many different rulers are available.

I know that in the past (when we were working) I got many rulers and have never used them.

When I looked at the picture on the site, I thought "Wow, my edges look like that without spending the $25 they want for the ruler"... Guess I just saved some money, lol

The cost is one thing but I know if it is something I can learn to use, I would love to try one. I have rulers out the ear but I use them.

katier825 - are you close to Ft. Meyers and Terryl???? SHe might like to share. There are others closet o you too. Hope you find someone so you can tell me about it.

The shapes make them look so challenging. I think when you buy one and they do a demo, they would sell faster. Good suggestion for the LQS.

I'm on the east coast, near Sebastian Inlet.

OH ok. Wish I was in Florida now with this Texas cold we are having. No reason before this winter to be a snowbird. LOL.

The sun will come out......

Maybe we need to have "unusual" rulers at the get-together in May. Learn to use them.....share.....

Just thinking!

Lots of times when a new ruler comes out 3 of us that sew together go in on it together then we sew projects together and rotate houses. We find this gets us moving and motivated during long cold winters.Doing this we have fun and cut our costs.
