I got brave and ordered the Grace Mini Pinni frame. I have to put it in my bedroom. I think it might take up half of it!!!!!! Oh well, I'm excited anyway. I can't wait to set it up and try it out. Hope it doesn't take too long to get here. :-D :-D :-D :-D

lol I would be afraid to sleep on a shelf, however I'm sure I could spare the cash to buy another couch so hubby would have some place to sleep!

Congratulations on your new frame. it is on my "gotta have" list as soon as we buy a house!

earthwalker 02-15-2010 05:18 PM

Thanks for all the help. It will be here tomorrow. I have the weekend off. I have heard they are hard to put together. Did you put yours together yourself? This could be interesting. I can't wait to start quilting on it though. :-D :-D :-D

I'm excited for you! waiting to see pictures of it set up to see how much room it takes up...so me and my sis can start measuring all our rooms to see if we can find space for one.

Debra Mc 02-20-2010 06:39 PM

Just remember don't do the guy thing & just look at the pictures, read the instructions. So happy for you. good luck.

craftiladi 02-20-2010 06:44 PM

Well...lol is it together yet....Seriously I am so excited for you, have fun.

omak 02-20-2010 06:53 PM

I am checking to see if you need any help <wave>
Tip: We took zip ties/wire ties and attached a power strip to the middle leg of the frame, then the power strip runs over to the wall for powering your machine and stitch regulator.
We never did get the light cord to stretch the full length of the quilt frame, but you might <g> ...
(Trying to think of adjustments we had to make in order to make it all work)
I am hoping no news is GOOD NEWS! <wave>

What great suggestions. I'm almost half way done setting it up and I'm so excited. It does take a while. I want to use it now.

Lost in the land of the boxes, pictures, and directions. How fun!
Did you do as I suggested and purchased the pre-made leaders for the take up rails, too?
Your boxes look very familiar, so you can tell it is going well. <wave>

Congratulations! Quliting is more important than sleeping right:) Thats what they make couches for. Or you can always get a smaller bed LOL

Jingle 02-22-2010 10:30 AM

Good luck, we are not good at putting things together. I hope it goes very easy for you, looks very difficult to me.

Barb_MO 02-22-2010 08:38 PM

Littlehud who did you order your frame from?
Omark, how long have you had your Mini Pinni, and where did you get yours?
Either one have the storage shelf?

I have the Grace Pinnacle ... bought it through a Babylock dealer here in washington state ... and, no, there is no storage shelf ... never saw any reason for one, but it might be a good idea to check out adding one ... because of the rail for batting, it wouldn't be practical for putting much on, but, there is the back .... hmmmm... thinking <g> I got mine almost two years ago, if I remember correctly ... <wave>

Barb_MO 02-22-2010 09:50 PM

Sorry I spelled you name wrong Omak.
I didn't realize your frame was the Pinnacle and had the rail for batting.

You have noticed more differences between the two than I did.
Good eye!<wave> don't worry about the spelling <g> I knew who you meant! LOL

jljack 02-22-2010 10:01 PM

Hey, Littlehud, you have the same BabyLock I do, I think. I recognize that face!! :D I really like it, but some day I am hoping to get a longer arm machine on a wider frame to allow me to do larger quilting patterns. But for now, this is what I have, and I am grateful to have it. Good luck...I think you are doing a great job so far!!

diannemc 03-10-2010 07:37 AM

Hey Littlehud how is it going??? Just wondering how it is working out!

craftybear 04-18-2010 06:40 PM
