Does anyone use this? I got two as a promotional item many years ago and they stayed in my sewing kit. I was taking apart some Waverly Fabric curtains for the fabric to make cushion covers, WOW does this thing go through stitches fast!! You just have to scratch lightly at the thread.
Now I will say it was heavy fabric and the lining was something I didn't care about. Not sure I would use it on quilt blocks!! But if you are taking apart clothes for fabric or something like that, it beats a seam ripper and scissors.

I've seen them at Joanns but never tried one. I'll have to pick up one now.

Oh i've not seen that. so far, i use my small rotary cutter to rip stitches out of seams (Eleanor Burns style).

I use this. It also works great for taking stubborn plastic off of videos (smile).

I keep one in my purse - comes in very handy - just like a man carrying a pocket knife. Very sharp - so be very careful. It is just like a box cutter.

I also tend to use Eleanor's method for longer "ripits", but still use the old standby for others. Carrying the Olfa knife sound like a great plan, tho - I'll have to try it.
