what is the difference between a stack and whack and OBW?

Stack n whack you use 2 fabrics. One fabric is the block fabric and one is the background fabric.

One Block Wonder you use just one fabric and create a flow of color within the quilt.

the basic cutting directions are pretty much the same between the 2 styles the big difference comes from putting the blocks together. the SAW gives you individual swirling blocks, set apart by solid trianges and the OBW gives you a watercolor, soft blending look. both are fun to do and you are in awe at the way each block turns out so different from the other!!!

Thanks I will try the OBW

It depends on which stack and whack quilt you make. The one I make is not cut the same as the OBW, with the exception of stacking the fabric the same way. The angles for different patterns can be different.
