Opinions Please, Mega Quilter & Inspira Frame Price Confirmation

I am from South Western Ontario, Canada. I am looking into a 9" Mega Quilter and Inspira Frame also. It is 3 years old and includes a laser. They are asking $2500 (paid $4,000 for it when bought).

The woman has since passed on and her widow wants to sell it and would like a fair price. I feel that $2500 might be high but I wanted to confirm if this a good price for a Canadian machine. I am gathering different prices so I can make a list to show him and make a fair offer but I just wanted opinions.

Many thanks!!

The price seems on the high side to me, but I don't know about Canada. I did find this thread:

This website does not give pricing, but they say up to 75% off MSRP so I would expect at least 50% off this particular setup -- especially since the machine has only a 9" throat. You can buy a brand new Jukie with 9" throat and a nice Hinterberg or Grace frame for it for about $2,000.

I found this completed listing on eBay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Husqvarna-Se...item1e73dab9f4
It sold for $1,500 and seller stated she paid over $4,000 for the setup new. (eBay prices do tend to be lower than local prices.)

This one on eBay has been listed several times at $2,700 (plus $400 shipping!) and has not sold:

This one on eBay sold for $900, but there was only one bid so I'm thinking it probably wasn't listed in the correct category:

I think a fair price would be between $1500 and $2000 -- simply because you can buy a similar new setup for $2000 plus tax/shipping. Plus there is less demand for the 9" throat because it is so limiting. Here in the U.S., if you spend some time searching and waiting, you can usually find a used 17" or 18" setup for $2,500-3,000.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to write such a detailed response. I've been thinking about it all day since I read it!
