I so enjoy reading all your posts and you are all so talented, caring, and helpful. I need your help. I have a dear friend who I need to make a baby blanket for - she prefers organic material. I have found some very plain earthy colors but haven't been able to find anything at all to make it look like a baby quilt. I can applique some teddy bears, etc., but does anyone know a site where I can get some "baby" organic fabric?

Thank you!

There are some organic cottons but I don't know what that label means to non food items. Cotton is not a food crop so the organic guide lines don't apply to how it's grown. Maybe how it's processed. I think Natural and Organic labels are the same for non food items

The last time I was in Hancock's they had a section of "green" fabrics. You could probably look online & learn more about it!!

connecting threads is carrying some organics and also dharma trading company...and you could use some natural dyes and dye some 'earthy' fabrics to get baby colors...there are lots of natural dyes to choose from.
