Ouch............

I cannot believe I did this yesterday. Was working on a blanket spread out on my bed and went to sit down on my chair.......I sat on my pin cushion! It is a tea pot and the top is where I put my needles............Luckily i did not have my full wgt on it when I realized I had needles in my butt. Haven't moved that fast is weeks.

Lisa_wanna_b_quilter 12-03-2012 11:02 AM

I understand. I once managed to set on a quilt that I had the binding pinned on. Ouch is right!

LivelyLady 12-03-2012 02:43 PM

Pins, rotary cutters, sewing machine needles........so we really do put blood, sweat, and tears into our quilts.

Dina 12-03-2012 02:54 PM

I am glad you moved fast!!

Dina

Thanks for the laugh!!!!! The way you told the story was delightful!!!!

auntpiggylpn 12-03-2012 04:12 PM

After you stated that your pin cushion was shaped like a tea pot, I certainly wasn't expecting the pins to be what poked you!

sewingsuz 12-03-2012 04:29 PM

Oh my jeeper jumpers! I just made that saying up. Two people had accidents on her in the last 24 hrs. You girls slow down.

LOL. Sorry but I just had to read your post to DH who is cleaning a featherweight at the moment. He almost fell off the kitchen chair he laughed so hard. Then we both felt sympathy....

jollyquilting 12-03-2012 07:50 PM

I bet even my would be able to move fast. I hope it didn't hurt much, but it does make me laugh.

cad_queen_2000 12-03-2012 09:07 PM

Glad you and your teacup are ok. I sat on my 6x24" ruler once, and it shattered (it was on its side in the chair). These things really DO NOT like to be sat on!

Sorry to hear of your misfortune but it does conjure up a comical picture.

I so agree with Nellybelle. I'm laughing my head off, too. Not funny on your end but funny to read. LOL

.....Ditto.....

Glad you weren't seriously hurt, and could move that fast. I've tried sewing my finger in the machine - I don't recommend it, I've stepped on a needle in a rug barefoot, fortunately DH was able to get it out, and I don't go barefoot in the house anymore.

karate lady 12-05-2012 10:46 AM

No.."my end" didn't think it was too funny, LOL, but it didn't hurt very much. Did feel silly pulling the needles out though

Did you intend the pun Pat G? "not funny on your end..." I took it the wrong way or should I say the wrong end? LOL

sewdamncute 12-05-2012 06:15 PM

Thanks for the evening laugh.. We have a dangerous profession/hobby. We actually work with dangerous tools. Take care QB Buddies.

chuckbere15 12-05-2012 11:49 PM

Thanks for making me laugh - remembering when I did the same thing. You be surprised how involve you get when finishing a project and just set stuff out of the way and find it the hard way.
