I am planing to outline quilt a scrap quilt http://www.quilterscache.com/P/Pinwheel8Block.html and I didn't sort or anything, it is a really big hogepodge of scraps. It is white border and back, what would be the best color thread for the top?
Thanks
Emily( I am planning on machine quilting)

My vote is varigated thread. Don't ask what brand cuz I only hand quilt, but I love varigated and it would decorate your white backing.

Varigated thread is beautiful when used both for quilting and for machine applique.

I think varigated thread in your favorite color would look great!!

I love variegated thread. I used it on my bargello because I couldn't match just one color ( too many colors in the quilt ) it worked great and looked so pretty.

I agree, variegated is the way to go.
