overboard with the seam ripper
 

ok, so I'm working on my grandpa's quilt and realize that I have a block section sewing onto the row wrong. I get out th e seam ripper and take it out..... wrong seam. I take out the correct seam.... then sew it back on right were I just removed it from.. dah.

LOL Been there, done that.

When I read your 'subject' line my first thought was NO, don't jump overboard just because you have to use your seam ripper!!!

We all have been there and done that! What is 'bad' is when you unsew your error and then re-sew it wrong, AGAIN! Grrrr unsew again! [blushing]

Been there, done that. I was working on a pattern and thought I'd sewed a section on wrong, ripped it out, sewed it to where I thought it should go only to realize it was right in the first place! Yikes, some days you're the windshield and some days you're the bug.

So tell me something new! I just did that yesterday. At least I have finely honed ripper skills.

That's when you step back, take a deep breath and move to something else for a minute. Like this board, for instance. :)

I saw at a quilt expo an electric seam ripper. Never thought someone would really need it much, but from the sounds of it, this would have been a great reason to purchase one! I bet you were glad when you were done. :rolleyes:

I've done the same thing, but with shirt sleeves. Sewing them on inside out. No matter how maney I 've made, I'll do it every time.

Oh, that is so me! We must've been separated at birth!
