Paper or Foundation Piecing
Hi fellow quilters,
I have been working on a quilt border and have decided that I would like to paper piece a few sections of the border. I need the blocks to be 5" however trying to find anything online relating to paper pieced borders is like trying to find gold. Am hoping that one or two of the quilters on here who paper piece might be able to help me by directing me where to look please. Many thanks Maybe1day |
if you find a block you like that would work in the border, that's one way. Simply make it one long row for each side of the quilt.

You could draw a very simple pattern yourself. Maybe a chain?

Forest Quilting.com or Urban Elementz have several free pantos. Forest Quilting has several that would work with the size you want.

twisted ribbons is a great one! do a search, though it is easy to draft your own. It is simple, adds dimension, can be done in any number of colors and always looks great. And it's simple. Did I say that? 8^)

Quilt Pro has a program called paper pieced borders. You can make your blocks any size you need to fit. I don't know if it has the blocks you want but check it out. It costs $19.95 instant download. http://www.quiltpro.com/page/Easy_Fo...Vol_1_mainpage
