I have quite a bit of 1940's reproduction fabric that I had originally intended for a Sunbonnet Sue quilt. Have any ideas for a different pattern to use with my fabric? It's for my granddaughter to grow up with :)

My now 22 yr old daughter made herself a log cabin quilt. She used solid red for the center square, prints for half the logs and Moda muslin for the other logs. Then she used solids to make a scrappy piano key border. It is very cute!

Any of the classic patterns using muslin or white fabric. I'm working on a 4 patch,½ of the patch white and ½ a print. Irish chain, bear claw, Double wedding ring. and the list goes on. Elenore Burns "egg money quilts" is a perfect book for ideas. Keep us posted:)

If that means Grandma's Flower Garden - I had thought of that, but didn't know if i wanted to do quite THAT much work. It would look fabulous, though, and I'm in no hurry:)

You can watch all of the Egg Money Quilt videos on the Quilt in a Day site. It will give you lots of inspiration. You might even take your fabrics and make the whole Egg Money Quilt sampler. It's gorgeous.

A Dresdin Plate or grandmothers fan or sunflower are a few I like.
