Hi everyone, I bought three 1 yard pieces that co-odernate and need some suggestions on a pattern to make from it. I just loved the material and decided to buy it. Don't have a clue what I'm going to make. Any suggestions from you would be great. A sewing grandma

Have you tried looking up freepatterns.com and seeing if they have any options for 3 color quilts. I would go there and see if inspiration hits. That way if one more is needed you could easily add another color. Also McCalls patterns has plenty to choose from.

A rail fence would be very easy and a good choice for 3 coordinating fabrics. I am sure you will be getting a lot of great hints and ideas from the friendly people here.

I think in terms of applique like the Dresden Plate or the fan patterns. They would look very pretty with coordinating fabric.

The fence rail was going to be my suggestion too. It really is a good
pattern for three colors and you can lay the blocks different ways to change the appearance. This is quick and easy, I use it often for a quick quilt. |
Mary lou go to this sit and I think you will find a pattern

I agree that the rail fence would be beautiful and easy. Just go to the pictures page of this site and look at Joy's Rail Fence quilt posted by PatriceJ.
It makes you want to start a Rail Fence right away. |
depends on how good a sewer you are. 'Tumbling Blocks' is a great pattern for three colors but... it's not as easy as it looks.

I have a whole book on quilting illusions, and can't make a single one of them. *L* tim |
