Pellon Fusible fleece or 808 craft fuse

I have some Pellon 808 craft fuse and lots of Pellon fusible fleece which I've used in tote bags.
I want to make some placemats and coasters. and a folded star trivet. the 808 is thin and the fleece a bit thicker.
which is best and does each wash well? they say they do. well the 808 does. i don't have any paperwork directions for the fusible fleece.
anyone?

I've used the fusible fleece for placemats and it has worked well for me, although I don't try very hard to actually fuse it. I do a fair amount of FMQ to hold the layers firmly in place as well.

thanks, i don't think it fuses well either. didn't bother me when making totes. I made my girl friend some placemats last Christmas and she asked about washing them. i used 80/20 cotton batting so told her not to put in dryer. just lay flat to try. wondered if i used the fleece or craft fuse, if they can go in dryer and not wrinkle up.

I just made some place mats and used a new to me product called "Soft and Stable". Gives the mats more body than regular batting and it's washer and dryer safe. http://www.byannie.com/shop/category...ft-and-stable/

thanks. Bernie, that looks better for tote bags for sure. I like them to stand up a bit.
