Pfaff Grandquilter 18.8 owners?
 

My wife and I purchased a Pfaff Grandquilter 1200 and frame 2 or 3 years ago. We have used it a lot, but we're to the point that we would like to upgrade to a machine with a bigger quilting area. I have found what I think is a good price on a Pfaff 18.8 machine only. Our current frame will work with the machine, but the drawback is that I would be buying out of state and therefore would have no support. I spoke with our regular dealer a couple of weeks ago about buying this machine from him, and he recommended another brand. I love what he showed me, but the price tag was over $10,000, and that is absolutely not in the budget right now. Does anyone have this machine? What are your thoughts on it? Would you buy it again? How important has your local support been? Thanks for any insight you can provide.

I have the viking 18x8 they are the same machine. I love it. I have gotten most of the support from a yahoo group.
They have the same set up so are able to help with problems. I would buy this set up again!!!
