Pfaff hobby 1200 inspira quilting frame - $1600

I was checking this out and was wandering if it is a good deal or not..I do not know anything about pfaff machines and do not have a frame but have been looking. any opinions and input are greatly appreciated. thanks for taking time to help me out. thanks again Gerry

That is about 1/2 of what I paid for the same setup new 2 years ago. As long as it has not been abused I would consider it a good deal. Good Luck!

Check to see if this is the new Inspira Imperial frame. There was another Inspira frame that came out a few years ago that had the panto shelf on top at the back. Many people did like this frame but did alter the frame by removing the shelf so they could see better from the back, or put lights under the shelf and just quilted from the front. The newer frame is very sturdy, and came out after the first one.
I have the 1200 on a frame and love the machine. I've just upgraded to a larger throat machine, but am keeping the 1200 for table free motion smaller items and some piecing. It sews through thick seams like butter, did I say I love that machine.

I have that same set-up. And I have the Inspira frame that has the panto shelf on the top. I would be lost without the pantos as I don't think I could ever free motion quilt. I love the machine. I don't think I would do anything larger than a lap quilt on it. That being said, I would gladly trade it in for a larger throat machine. (It is only 9 inches, and after you subtrack the roller and any of the quilt that is on the roller, you lose space very quickly.) I paid $1,500.00 for mine used from a lady on my quilt board.

This setup is a great 1st step into doing your own quilitng. My wife and I have this setup and have quilted about 40 quilts on it. There was a learning curve to be sure, but after that we have been very happy with the setup. We would like to upgrade to a larger throat machine later, but $ is preventing us at the moment. If you can afford it, this is a good deal: GRAB IT!

I purchased the same set-up last year in the Flint area for an incredible $500. I know I was ridiculously lucky, and it's worth far more than that. The machine and frame had only been used twice, and the lady I purchased it from was anxious to have it gone. It was an absolute steal at $500.
