I have started sewing the piping on the pillow I've made, and I'm using a zipper foot to get as close to the piped fabric as possible. Only problem is, it isn't close enough, and the stitched threads are showing through on the pillow. Any ideas how to made it look more professional?

Baste the piping on the front side with the stitching line exactly where the final line of stitching will be. No just attaching them together like basting usually does. Then pin the back on, turn it over and stitch exactly on or just inside the basting line. That way you have a visual to follow. No guessing if you are going wide. When you turn it, there should be no visible stitches.

I'll give it a try. I've basted the front, back & piping all together, and it keeps slipping. Thanks for your input. I'm heading into my sewing room right now to give it a try.

If you do it altogether, you can't see where exactly to sew. I'm big on saving steps, but not with piping. The basting line gives you something to follow that is just ewhere it needs to be.

Well, as you can see, I haven't headed to my sewing room yet. I've made pillows, but without pipping. This is the first. I like time-saving tips, and I just knew someone on the Board would have an answer. I have one more to make. It will go a lot faster, since I have your hint to follow. Thanks again.
