I would really appreciate some help. In the past i've made a couple of quilt labels from t-shirt iron on transfers, and they worked ok, but i've heard they crack after awhile. I've heard many say here the print-on fabric sheets are better, so i bought some, but i don't know if this is the right kind. It says it is june tailor quick fuse. It says to put the fabric sheet through the printer, and then fuse the fabric label to your project. Did i buy the wrong kind? I thought you just printed it on the fabric, and then had to sew it to your project. Do all printable fabric sheets, are they all fusable also? Or is there a kind that isnt fusable. Because this is fusable, does it mean it will come out stiff and crack too? Or is this the kind that everyone talks about that is better than a t-shirt transfer. I know there are other links on this, but i would be confused trying to find the answer. Thanks everyone so much if you know the answer.

There are all kinds of fabric sheets. You just got the fusible kind. I use either Printed Treasures or EQ fabric sheets.

Usually on the package it will say Sew In.

I bought iron on labels that you cut from a book. You can embroider them or color with pigma pens. mine came from Jo-anns :D

Hi Barb- Printed Treasures has a 'sew-on' fabric that is very soft and easy to use. It is paper backed and goes through your home printer great. Just a thought :) :) :) :)

Thank you everyone. I'm thinking now that it sounds like the fusible fabric sheets i got will work good, and now i have some ideas for next time. Thanks so much guys! :) :) :)

Barb,

Here is a site that you can make your own labels and print it onto the iron on (or not) fabric. I use it a lot because you can personalize it with pictures off your computer if you want. I love this very much because I use a picture of me on the label. Better than my name only, don't you think? LoL ...

Barb,
I hand embroider most of mine, you can find a sample of what I did for the kids quilts in pictures. Be sure you heat set the ink if you use your printer on the fabric.

Hugs,
Sharon
