Opinions will vary but my opinion is YES! I use it all ,especially if they are going to be used as functional quilts. Don't get me wrong I love all of the quilt shop cottons but times are getting tougher everyday and 30 years ago this question probably would not even existed. And at that price I would be in fabric heaven!!!!!

Yes use it! LOL, my favorite snuggle quilt is a polyester knit quilt that i made and tied.

YES. The poly blend will have a different feel to work with but will make a wonderful quilt.

How does a poly blend work out on a long arm? Any difference?

Thirty years ago we sold a lot of poly blends at JoAnn's for quilting. Some lovely quilts were made. I used poly blend in solids then because I didn't care for the feel of the cotton solids that were available. The quilt in my playroom looks and feels just fine. The plaids and prints are cotton but the some of the solids are Symphony.

Use the fabric. It won't shrink and it won't fade as much as cotton. Poly does have some advantages.

I've used blends with polyester many times & with a mixture of cottons in the same quilt. I have never had a problem & I've made about 60 quilts-mostly easier ones just because I don't have the patience for the very beautiful intricate ones-and I don't see puckers or uneven shrinking or any other problems. I would be in heaven if I were to find a bunch of fabric for 1.00 & wouldn't hesitate to use them. Happy Quilting!

I accidentially brought a poly blend fabric for the quilt I am doing now and everything is fine. Only regret is its lighter than the "heavier" cotton I am mating it with but all yours is blend so it should be fine.

As long as you like it, you can use anything. Just make sure that you use all the same type of fabric.

I definitely agree....sometimes the quilts made from the most unlikely fabrics are the most loved/used.
