Have any of you tried this technique? It's trying to lure me in....I feel myself weakening as I have a picture of my Grand daughter that would be perfect for this style of quilting, but I would like to know if any of you have done this and if so how did it work out? Was it hard?

I have no idea how DivaDiane did this, but if I were planning any portrait quilt, I'd ask her advice. Her work is amazing.

Also "morelcabin" does some awesome portraits...she has one in the Pictures that I've seen.

Just checked that out - I'd missed it and it's breathtaking! Now if I were going to do a portrait, I'd take tips from that lady for sure! :-D

You are talking about this lady.

She has been at the sewExpo. She has software you use to plan out the photo....

It is interesting but you do have to stand back to see the picture.

Do you have a x-stitch program?

Took a class with Tammie and love her technique. Have her latest software version and yes it absolutely doable!
