I keep seeing talk about pressing & ironing, but do not understand the difference. Could someone please explain the difference to me?
I hate sounding this ignorant, but want to know, & you people are always so kind, I thought you would give me a simple answer without making me feel stupid. Thanks, Marilyn |

And when you press open you seam, keep the iron straight, when you do that quick slide across. If you go at an angle, you can distort the seam :D:D:D

I swear that every missouri quilt co video I've ever watched shows someone doing the twist when they press. And I think I even saw Eleanor Burns do it on her show. I try to not do it but sometimes it just happens.

Press - put iron down, press, and pick it up.
Iron - slide iron back and forth. |
