I had a real problem with my WonderUnder backing not wanting to separate from the web once I fused it to the fabric. Did I heat it too long? I can't figure out what I did....only held the iron for about 8 seconds, but it's on hot, dry. Is that wrong? I thought I followed the instructions, but this is only the 2nd time I've used it. Help!!!

Once in awhile mine does that. I simply bend a corner a bit to get it started then it usually goes fine.

I lightly scratch it with the edge of my scissors, enough to get ahold of a bit, if I can't get it to come up at a corner.

I take a straight pin and drag the point over the wonder-under paper to tear a hole in it. The paper is quite easy to remove once you've got the hole to start pulling it.

I have that problem when it is getting old. I get the glue is a little more stubborn.

I use tons of wonder under. I have found that if there is any steam at all it won't peel . Also cut all the way across the back with a pin.

I generally take and edge and roll it a bit between my fingers. It usually lets loose enough for me to grab it with tweezers and pull.

I guess I've been lucky. I've never had that problem.

Your leaving the iron on it too long. Just iron it for a second or two. Also, let it cool for a minute before trying to remove the paper. When ready to remove the paper, score it with a pin and it should come off easily. :-)

Thanks, I've always had trouble with this too!

Thanks for all the information. I'll give it another try. The problem I was having was that the paper would not separate from the web.....it was very hard to pull it off, and the web kept pulling off the fabric with the paper. Part of it was just fine, separating cleanly, but other parts were pulling the web off of the fabric. So, maybe it is old? I bought it 2 days ago from WalMart. HUMMMMM!!

I don't think old is the problem. Sounds like maybe your iron wasn't hot enough. I go thru about 2 bolts of this a week.

I have that problem occasionally. Other times it peels off great. I just threw out 1 yd of it because it would not peel. and I have used this stuff for years.

Thanks!!! So, maybe its the product, and maybe me. So, I'll keep trying. At least I got done with my little project, so I won't have to deal with it for a while!! :?

This happened to me last week, I had to iron it much longer than usual, then it peeled right off like it should... I wonder if sometimes we are getting a hold of a bad batch? This was the first time this had happened and I have been buying it for years....

I have had that happen too. And when I did get it started it would peel off in little pieces. I think it is old. I try reheating it for a little longer.

I count: one one thousand, two one thousand, etc to keep the iron on for the recomended time. I also have dragged a pin across the paper to starta spot tp peel. It seems to peel better from the interior of the piesce rather than from a corner. Don't know why.
