This looks like fun. Has anyone ever made one of these? My daughter (5), would love a pink one. :) http://www.karensvariety.com/ARTICLES/BiscuitQuilt/Biscuit.htm |
I had heard of this before and a lady had sent me a couple squares and the directions to making one. This was about 3 years ago and it was pretty cool. Needless to say, I never did start one. :(

Hi this is lovely, Have also seen this done with large Suffolk Puffs which are stuffed and then placed like hexagans over another fabric. Very pretty tecnique.

This looks like a good way to spend a rainy day, or even one too hot to go outside.

I've made one for a double bed and one for a twin in the trip around the world pattern. They're very nice looking but wow are they ever heavy to work with.

The one I saw was made into a pram quilt and looked sweet, but a big one would be very heavy. Bet it looked good Kathy... Elle |
That was how I spent my time as a single woman after divorce #2! and before I started quilting again, it's stored right now in one of those vaccum bags, I'll try to catch Hubby in the mood to go into the attic to bring it down so I can take a picture of it, I need one for my album anyway.

Oh my gosh!!!
My sister, who lives in New Hampshere, was at a yard sale a couple of years ago. She called me and said that a quilt was for sale and was I interested in it. She described it and I said yes. I paid $25 for it. When I got it, I couldn't believe all the work that went into it and for only $25!! I never knew the name of the pattern. Nor how it was done. Now I do!!! The one that I bought is between a full and a queen size quilt. Thanks for posting that link!!! |
Yup, made one back in the 70's when it was the hot new thing. (And no, Carol, it wasn't mine that your sister bought! Where in NH was this yard sale anyway?) Tedious is not the word for these puppies! Mind-numbing is more like it.
