Somebody posted once that they had found a Singer 1/4 foot that actually worked. I looked on the website they mentioned and bought a plastic foot and it works great. Now I need to buy another one, but I can't find the website again. Does anybody know where I need to go? thanks, Bettlove

Was it clotilde? Or nancy's notions! There are many sites on line for the feet and after market feet that fit and work it is hard to tell. I will try and google it for you.
Here is the page of the results that came up for the search. Maybe you reccognize one of these sites?

Try the search function on top - how long ago was the post you are talking about?

The post the Moonpi gave me was the exact one. Thank you so much and I am amazed at how fast I got my answer. Thanks again RedGarnett222 and Moonpi.

You mean they actually make a scant 1/4" foot. I was complaining on another board or maybe it was this one. They stress doing a quarter inch seam, then tell you to do a scant quarter inch seam, my question was if that is the case then why not make the feet scant quarter inch? It just didn't seem very logical to me to make a foot then tell you to make smaller. It sure doesn't help us who can't visualize a scant, or sew a straight line for even the quarter. That is me.. I make my seams like I am at the actual quilting part and doing meandering quilting. I always tell everyone I can't even sew on a button why do they expect me to sew a straight line and then tell me scant  :?:

they now make a 1/4"er because the craft is constantly changing. for the better. it occurred to someone that scant 1/4" worked better, probably to accommodate that teeny space that the stitching itself takes up. when you think about it, there have been many changes, all designed to make the work more precise, such as specialty rulers and better marking devices.
