I have 2 requests for t-shirt quilts, and have never made one. My question is what is the best kind of fusible interfacing to use with the t-shirts?

I prefer the light weight fussible and then quilt it heavy.

Here is my two cents! I use the lightest weight fusible I can find (usually tricot fusible, at Joanns) and when I quilt I use a large stipple not close. I use flannel for the backs.

lightweight tricot fusable interfacing, or a non-woven lightweight.

Any light weight fusible - enough to stabilize the Tshirt fabric.

I agree with everyone else. Use the lightweight fusible. All you want to do is prevent the t-shirt material from stretching and unraveling. You don't want it to be stiff or hard.

Yup, a very lightweight fusible. Just be careful with your placement so the t-shirt stretches one direction, and the fusible the other. Makes it much easier to sew. I also found it easier to cut the block larger than needed, apply the fusible, then trim to size. That way you are sure it goes all the way to the edge and doesn't stick to your ironing board.

I have been known to piece the fusible when in a pinch, seems to hold up OK!
