There are three different "kinds" of Quilter's Dream cotton batting, Select, Deluxe and Supreme. Do you find that the manufacturer's descriptions of loft and warmth are true to form?
Has anyone used Dream Puff? Has anyone used Dream Blend? If so, what did you think?

I used Dream Batting Request (the thinnest batt they have) and I didn't like it. I thought it was too thick, it was heavy and quilting was much harder than with Mountain Mist Quilt Light. I am a handquilter, so I don't know how machine quilters would rate it.

I use Dream Blend almost exclusively for machine quilting and I love it. It is very stable - I sometimes FMQ or thread paint through only a top and the batting then add the backing later and it doesn't shift or beard. It stays softer in my experience than Warm and Natural when close quilted and it is good up to 12" apart if you don't want too much quilting. It washes well and doesn't shrink at all.

i love the dream batts- i can understand why a hand quilter would not- they are more like warm & natural- as you can quilt up to 10" apart- and they are good for tied quilts- usually for hand quilting you do not want one with scrim-(which makes it possible to quilt 10" apart)
mountain mist is a better (flat) hand quilting batt---but it is not so good for machine quilting.
the dream puff is great for tied quilts---a bit lofty to try to machine quilt--
the others it just depends on how (lofty) you want your quilt.
i also use dream wool (my favorite batt), dream orient, dream green and dream bamboo-
i love them all- and they have all managed to be the right batt for different projects

I use them all. I love the softer "hand". When you quilted the request weight, are you sure it was the batting that caused the difficulty or the fabric?
