For those ladies who have said they always tie the baby quilts, is there a specific reason why?

Hi alimaui....everyone has their own way of doing things. in our area... we do not hand tie baby quilts because of the danger of them pulling out the tie & swallowing it, however some people do use their machine to make a fancy of zig zag tie stitch.

That is so sweet. I'm sure she will love and cherish it.

I tie off all my baby quilts with
6-strand embroidery floss.
Heres an idea for you .....
Instead of plain green see if you
can find one of the " green varigated" colors;
as they are rather pretty.

I have only tied one quilt. It was a king size made from 4in blocks from my stash. I put it in my floor frame just like I was going to hand quilt it and then placed a tie in the middle of each block. I used varigated thread since there was so many colors in the quilt. I enjoy hand quilting, but liked the old fashioned look for this quilt. [img]
