Ok I was going to make the d4p. But after my attempt yesterday with cutting I think I should try something els. My question is what can I do since I put all of my blocks toegether. I would like something else besides 5x5 squares. If needed I can post a picture of all the blocks I have created. Thanks for the advice!!

Not that this is boring I just wanted more texture to it.

4 patch Material is Moda Charm pack Lumier de Noel with white blender packs

Can you just continue to put them together and have a quilt top ? Or alternate the 4 patch with a solid square

You can use them as 9 patches, and then lay applique pieces over the quilt top :D:D:D

make the 9 patch then cut into the disappearing 9 block...I just did two of them. They are posted on my blog. Thriftyideastoday.com. One was made from 4in squares the other 5 inch - its really easy...once you have sew the 9 squares together you just cut the block in the middle and than again in the middle...looks really nice. It also looks hard but its very easy.

That is an awesome block! Would you have to take all of your blocks apart?

I would take the four square blocks and put a sashing around each one, to make it the size I want it. But I am a beginner!

No, I took 2 4 patch blocks cut them diagonaly then sewed each triangle to the opposite patch making a pinwheel. Then I decided to cut each one 1 1/4" from the middle on all 4 sides like a disappearing 4 patch then sewed it together. Wasn't that fun :) I wanted something simple and well look at what I did to myself. tomorrow I am going to try doing a bettern contrast very dark with very light (reds/tans) (dark tans/whites)

Maybe I should do a tutorial hmmmmm..
