I'm kinda new at quilting..I purchased a moda jelly roll..I also purchased quilters cotton (that's the name on the end of the bolt) for my borders..but it is very thin.. Will this make a difference in the quilting of it? After all my years of sewing you would think I could answer this question..I'm thinking i will have to adjust my tension when i get to the borders but I'm not sure..I paid 8.99 a yd. for this fabric..Thank you in advance for all the info..

I have never had fabric with enough difference in brands of cotton to cause me to have to adjust my tension. Of course, all machines are different and maybe yours will need it.

I would wash the quilter's cotton before using it, it might thicken up, if not starch it so that it will sew about the same, as the MODA is definitely much thicker fabric.

Thank you so much..I did wash it first..but didn't think about starching..
