Questions about these fabric cutters
I just purchased the GO Baby. It seemed to fit my needs best. However, Joanne's has all of the Provo Cricut dies for almost 2/3rds off. $89.99 down to 19.99 and 29.99. Some would work for what I want to do. My question is will they work in my new Go Baby? Also, would the mats work. I have a chance to buy the Cricut mats 12" x 12" for $6.99 and my thinking was I could cut them in half and have two 6"x12" mats. I am new to these cutters and since I am selling my longarm I thought I would spend a little on this.

I don't know about the dies but I guess you could get one and try it but I'd make sure the store would take them back. As far as the mats if they are the same thickness I can't see why not; that would be a great savings and we all need that. I love my Go.

suggest you sign on to the Yahoo group for the Accuquilt cutter and post your question. Lots of good information there.

Thanks, Holice. I may be getting a GO for Christmas, and I'm sure that questions will pop up before I become proficient.

No, the Cricut dies will not work with the Accuquilt Go or Go Baby. They are on a cartridge that you put into the Cricut machine and it cuts, made specially for paper. I guess you could cut fabric if you had an iron on backing and only one layer at a time. Anyway, they are two totally different machines, made for different things. The Cricut has only one blade, like an Xacto knife blade where as the Accuquilt Go/Baby dies have blades all around the the shape you are cutting and the fabric layers are cut by the fabric being pressed down in to them. The Cricut blade moves around the shape it is cutting.
