Hi, A friend has asked me to make her son a quiet book. I'm just wanting to know if anyone has made one and how difficult they are. I have found some patterns online but just want some feedback from someone has actually made one.

I made one years ago for my daughter. If you have a basic understanding of sewing methods and some creative spark you should be OK!! They are not hard to do. Some of my pages were:

braid something
snap something
zip
count
put things in and out
dress a doll (use velro)
color matching
abc's

and on and on!!!!!

I made one for my grandsons a couple of years. I have to admit it was a lot of work, but well worth it. Sorry, I didn't get any pictures of it. It was fun to be creative about the different pages. Google making a quiet book and you will get tons of ideas. The book is still being used after 2 years.

I have seen a pattern for one in either the McCalls or Simplicity book or maybe both.
