My very first quilt was an Irish Chain. I took a class in it and I've been hooked ever since.

Teresa, that is your FIRST quilt? Wow you did an excellant job! My first single Irish Chain sure didn't look that good. Of course, at that time I thought 1/4" seam allowance was just a suggestion. Could be why my nine patch never quite did match up.

Beautiful work, Do you like humming birds? They are really pretty on your quilt? So how many kudos do ya think? I estimate maybe 90, plus.NICE JOB. |
wow beautiful work, I have started a double Irish chain, I have a hard time keeping the pieces strait and using the right color order. It took me 3 hours for a 15" square.

Thank you for the Kudos :) I love hummingbirds. I digitized the two designs on this quilt with the Janome Digitizer Program and then stitched it out on my embroidery machine. I love to "quilt" that way.

Yvonne, did you take a picture of that quilt-I'd like to see it. I've seen some pictures of your quilts on other messages and they were all beautiful. Linda

The black & white quilt is posted under 'this and that' in the picture section. Our aunt's quilt is on my web site. The address is posted at this same spot.
