Does anyone use this? I seen it's only $29.95, and wondered if it's worthwhile? I love the EQ, but can't afford that right now.

I had not seen this program before but it looks very nice. And it's made by the same people as EQ. I'd get it if I were you....

I bought it several years ago and it is great.
very user friendly and is fun to see what two different blocks look like in a quilt. You are limited to the blocks in the software but it is still worth it.
Every month you can download a new pattern but it dos not add into the blocks in the program. Each pattern is in a separate file that you can access to use in quilt wizard.
I have found it very useful for resizing blocks. good for trying out different color combinations too. It is a very useful tool.

Thanks Sewjoyce, for the nudge!
Rose Marie, the blocks you can download each month - you can continue to access them, they're just not readily in the program? Do you still use this? Or is it something you outgrew quickly?
Thanks for the information! :-)

I had it before I got EQ6. I think it is a great program. It helped me a lot with my round robin quilts. If you like the idea of EQ6 but don't want to spend the money I would recommend it.

Obviously now it seems limited, because EQ6 can do so much, but it is a fun program to play with.

With the quilt design wizard, does it help you with figuring out how much yardage you need for the quilt ? I have a terrible time with yardage and am looking for a program to help with that  Thanks for the info

You can access the downloads in QW and then add the block to your favorites to add to a quilt you are designing.
I also like that you can rotate blocks.
The only thing that limits you is that you can only use the blocks that come with the software, you cannot design your own blocks.
Yes it gives yardage amounts and cutting instructions.
You can use it for paper piecing or regular piecing. It gives patterns for both.

I have it and love it. I can re size blocks easily and work on creating patterns. You are somewhat limited on your blocks and fabrics, but there is enough to keep you busy for a long time. Someday I want to have EQ6, but for the price difference I'm sticking with quilt design for now. It works for me.

Thanks Rose Marie & Littlehud! I just came back from buying a bit more material, so will have to see if I can sneak this through too... lol!!!! I just didn't want to spend $30 for it, and find out it wasn't really that useable, but it sounds like it'll do me for quite awhile.
:D :D

I just bought it! One of my sons was here, and is giving it to me for an early Mother's Day present!
I had thought it would be a download though, now have to wait for it to be shipped to me. :( But at least I know it's on it's way! :D :D
